PIK scientists contribute to numerous research projects commissioned by external funders.

In the past 15 years, PIK has conducted around 800 projects funded, for example, through the research programmes of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR, formerly BMBF) or the European Union.
