The aim of the S project is to specify, design and implement reusable, generic software components for distributed adaptive finite volume methods. Components should be flexible and efficient enough to support realistic model prototyping and applied research in numerical modelling. Practitioners should be able to safely combine components into complex models and set up documentable numerical experiments.
