Cara Bielig graduated with honors from her degree program in Remote Sensing, GeoInformation, and Visualization. In her thesis, she developed an innovative method for analyzing complex spatial structures. To do so, she combined so-called “recurrence plot”-based methods for nonlinear data analysis with statistical techniques and geometric concepts. Her novel approach is highly relevant to current research questions in classification, monitoring, and early detection. Her master's thesis was supervised by Norbert Marwan, Deputy Head of RD4.
