Identifying the frontiers of emissions reductions

Many countries have already peaked in greenhouse emissions and reduced for at least 10
years (Lamb et al. 2021). However, a large portion of these reductions have been driven by
decarbonisation in the power sector, while buildings and transport have lagged behind. This
project aims to quantify the frontiers of emissions reductions and identify where slowdowns
in emissions reductions should be anticipated without more stringent action in those sectors.
