Eligibility criteria for PhD (or Dr. rer. medic.) applicants
Requirements:
- Meets eligibility requirements as set by Charité (link)
- Masters in a relevant subject (e.g. epidemiology, public health, health economics)
- Degree or equivalent expertise in epidemiology
- Experience or training in public/global health
- Strong quantitative analysis skills and statistical software skills, in particular experience or willingness to learn Stata
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Interest to work in interdisciplinary, multi-cultural teams and settings
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in public health nutrition or nutrition epidemiology
- Expertise / degree in another relevant subject (e.g. medicine, ecology, biology, social sciences)
- Expertise in other relevant skills or methods (e.g. GIS, qualitative methods, etc.)
- Able to communicate in German
Eligibility criteria for Dr. med. applicants
Requirements:
- Meets eligibility requirements as set by Charité (link)
- At least basic skills in epidemiology and statistics and willingness to expand on these
- Experience or training (e.g. summer school, elective courses, seminars) in public/global health
- Experience or willingness to learn Stata
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Interest to work in interdisciplinary, multi-cultural teams and settings
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in public health nutrition/nutrition epidemiology
- Expertise / degree in another relevant subject (e.g. ecology, biology, social sciences)
- Expertise in other relevant skills or methods (e.g. GIS, qualitative methods, etc.)
- Able to communicate in German
Eligibility criteria for Master’s students
Requirements:
- Enrolled in Master’s program in a relevant subject (e.g. epidemiology, public health, health economics)
- Some experience in epidemiology and statistics and willingness to expand on these
- Experience or interest in public/global health
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Interest to work in interdisciplinary, multi-cultural teams and settings
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

- Ability to communicate in German
