On the last Friday before Christmas, the group got together at the Albert Einstein science campus in Potsdam for the ERSU science day. The day was kicked-off by co-leads Ricarda and Johan, who gave a review over the past year, followed by an overview of the expectations for 2026 and beyond.
In breakout groups, the group had the chance to dive deeper into topics like graphic tools, writing funding proposals, data crunching or AI workflows by sharing experiences with each other. These sessions also gave space for getting to know better old and new members of the team, as the group has grown significantly throughout the last months. Another chance for introducing all of the team members was given by the brag-about-your-colleague session, where randomly assigned teams of two prepared a one-slide presentation with all the fun- and serious-facts about the respective other.
Finally, the day drew to a close with some dancing lessons and a pot-luck-buffet where everyone brought some of their favorite home made food.
