Paul Kuehnel is Data Team Lead for the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISIMIP) at PIK. He works on data workflows, data curation, and quality control for climate impact research.

Paul recently completed a Master’s degree in Data Science at Leipzig University. Before joining PIK, he worked for several years in software engineering and data-related roles in the renewable energy sector. His academic background combines data science with earlier studies in physics, mathematics, and computer science. His current interests include complex systems, agent-based modelling, and questions of collective decision-making that are relevant for understanding and addressing climate change.
