Panya Chakravarty is a doctoral candidate in the 'Political Economy' group at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). Her research interests include climate economics, development, and sustainable finance. Using quantitative, quasi-experimental methods, her research studies how private firms affect, anticipate, and adjust to climate policies.
Panya holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with honours from The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and did her Master's in Public Policy (MPP) degree from the Hertie School, Berlin. At Hertie, she specialised in economic and climate policy.
