Nadine works as a Research Coordinator in the RD2 working group 'Adaptation in Agricultural Systems' where she coordinates and supports various research projects. In particular, Nadine is coordinating the Wellcome-funded ClimaKid project on attributing the impact of climate change on child nutrition.

Before joining PIK, Nadine worked at the UN World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome, Panama and Ecuador on climate change adaptation projects for food security and disaster risk management initiatives, with a particular focus on anticipatory action and climate and disaster risk finance and insurance in humanitarian contexts. Among others, her efforts included improving operational preparedness for climate disasters and implementing a gender transformative approach to climate adaptation and disaster risk management.

Previously, Nadine has been employed at Bread for the World, supporting local NGOs in Cameroon in the implementation of projects in the areas of agriculture, health, education and gender equality.
