Luna Stocker

Luna Stocker is a doctoral researcher in the Planetary Boundaries Science Lab at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. She pursues her PhD within the project The Role of the Ocean in Earth System Stability, focusing on coastal ecosystem functioning under changing environmental conditions and potential feedback dynamics.

In this context, she uses process-based modelling to investigate biogeochemical fluxes within blue carbon ecosystems and their responses to climate impacts. Eventually, the aim is to integrate the developed framework into the Potsdam Earth model (POEM), helping to enhance the representation of coastal processes and the understanding of their role within the Earth system.
