Dr. Franziska Gaupp is a guest research scholar at PIK and the Director of the Food Systems Economics Commission (FSEC), a collaboration between PIK, EAT and the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU).
Franziska is interested in food systems and systemic risk modelling. Additionally, she has experience in systems analysis using quantitative and qualitative methods to foster transformative change towards a resilient future.

Before joining FSEC and PIK, Franziska worked as a research scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Vienna, Austria. Franziska holds a DPhil (PhD) from the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford, an MSc in Ecological Economics from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Economics from the Freie Universität Berlin.
