Lushanya Dayathilake is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics, focusing on carbon pricing and CBAM in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Her research aims to develop climate policies that generate positive economic outcomes for the region. The research is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Previously, she worked as a Researcher at the Greenhouse Gas Removal Hub at the University of Oxford and as a Climate Consultant at Environmental Resources Management (ERM), UK. Lushanya holds an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford, UK, and a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
