Bruna has experience in using satellite Earth data and technologies to address socio-environmental challenges by exploring the interactions between natural ecosystems, climate change and human activities. Her expertise includes developing methodologies to assess Green-Blue Ecosystems using satellite imagery, machine learning, and spatial modelling. Bruna's research findings and outcomes emphasize her commitment to bridging scientific knowledge with practical applications for a healthier Planet and society.

Currently she is working in the “Systemic Sustainability” (LL SYSTAIN) Leibniz-Lab conducting the systemic sustainability assessment of biodiversity, climate, agriculture and food within Planetary Boundaries.

Scientific Merit Award for the best publication in the field of Science and Technological Engineering produced in the last six years.
