Brian Groenke is a postdoctoral researcher at the PIK working in the "Artificial Intelligence in the Anthropocene" group lead by Prof. Dr. Niklas Boers. His primary research interests revolve around the application of statistics and machine learning to geoscientific modeling and climate research. He specializes in computational methods for uncertainty quantification, probabilistic modeling, and land-atmosphere interactions in the cryosphere and beyond. He is currently a collaborator on the TUM-PIK-ESM project, which aims to build a next generation hybrid Earth System Model in the Julia programming language.
