Asya Dimitrova is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Climate Change and Health working group as part of Research Department 2 at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). She completed her PhD in Global Health at the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). Her dissertation focused on modelling the health impacts of ambient temperatures and the health co-benefits from air pollution reduction under global climate change mitigation scenarios and national air quality control scenarios in India. Her research interests include health impacts of climate change, health impact assessment methodologies, modelling  the interplay between future environmental hazards and demographic and socio-economic dynamics.
