M.A. Andrea Kambergs

Project Coordinator

Andrea Kambergs works at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research as project coordinator of the EPICC project (East Africa Peru India Climate Capacities).

For the last twenty years Ms. Kambergs has been working in the field of international cooperation. She managed an agency for intercultural project and event management and organized and coordinated projects, conferences and workshops worldwide. Among others, she worked for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Bread for the World and Airbus BizLab. Her work has taken her to various regions of the world, including Ghana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ukraine and Georgia. Personally, she has strong ties to Latin America and in particular Colombia, where she lived for some time.

Ms. Kambergs holds a Master's degree in Geography and Cultural Communication from Humboldt-University Berlin and is a certified project manager. She wrote her thesis on "Indigenous communities in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, between traditional land use and modern conservation".
