FUTURA - RD2

Future Climate, Impact and Emission Pathways and Infrastructure: Informing Risk, Transitions and Responses for Assessment and Society

FUTURA aims to align workflows in the ESM, IAM, climate downscaling and impact modeling communities, and based on these improved processes, to develop robust scientific input for the IPCC AR7. In particular, PIK will contribute with IAM scenarios and simulations, development, processing and provision of climate and direct human forcing data, climate impact modeling, and supporting the development of an integrated platform for efficient data sharing between the scientific communities, as well as for convenient data access to non-scientific users. The project is organized in different clusters: the "Impact cluster", the "IAM cluster", and the "Infrastructure cluster".

Both the Land Biosphere Dynamics Working Group and the Land Use Transition Lab at RD2 are involved.
