Press conference Impacts World 2013

Droughts. Floods. Health risks. Crop failures. Climate change impacts of today and tomorrow appear in the public debate with a raft of buzz words. But the science behind our understanding of climate change impacts is both much broader and much more fragmentary. To provide robust information for decision makers, we need a quantitative synthesis of impacts - including consistent estimates of uncertainties.

As the first conference of its kind, Impacts World 2013 from May 27-30th brings together leading scientists and decision makers from politics, business and civil society to discuss a new vision for an integrated climate impact research across sectors and scales.
