Agricultural risks due to climate change - can insurances mitigate?

The past summer with extreme drought hit the agricultural industry hard and caused damages which could partially not have been managed without the financial support of the central and regional government. During the seminar, experts from agricultural policy, insurance industry and scientists, among them Christoph Gornott from RD2, discussed with minister Klöckner possibilities to reduce risks for farmers and the role of insurances in mitigating these risks.
