Susanne Droege is a Senior Fellow and Head of the Climate and Energy Policy Cluster at the Berlin-based German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP). She holds a PhD in economics. Susanne has a long-standing work experience in climate and trade, international climate negotiations, foreign climate policy. Her research includes border carbon adjustment design and carbon markets, the EU’s, US’s, China’s and other countries’ climate policy strategies. Susanne is a member of the Sino-German Track-2-Dialogue. She advises the German Parliament, the German Government and various international organisations. She is a member of the Presidium Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag.
