Sarah Hiller

Doctoral Researcher
Hiller

Sarah is a Phd student in the Future Lab "Game Theory and Networks of Interacting Agents" under the supervision of Rupert Klein from Free University Berlin, Jobst Heitzig from PIK, and Markus Brill from Technical University Berlin. The project that she works in is part of the cross-institutional Cluster of Excellence Math+, a cooperation between the mathematics departments of the three Berlin universities together with PIK, WIAS and ZIB as external research institutes, and is funded by DFG. Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg and a Master's degree in Logic from University of Amsterdam.

In her research she aims to formalise the notion of moral responsibility in a way that is capable of representing complex decision scenarios such as those faced with respect to climate change, and enable us to give a quantified measure.

Together with Luzie Helfmann who is also a PhD student at PIK and FU Berlin, Sarah organises the monthly young researcher colloquium CHANGES+ at FU Berlin, which aims at connecting young researchers from Berlin and beyond who work on formally modelling societal change processes with a special focus on the driving agents.
