Anna works as Scientist in the Climate Change and Health Group at PIK and Charité. She graduated from ETH Zurich in 2016 with a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology. Her dissertation focused on the analysis of the mucosal immune response towards bacterial infection. Afterwards, she completed a Master in International Health at Heidelberg University and joined the Epidemiology and Statistics Unit at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health to work at the Food and Agricultural Approaches to Reducing Malnutrition (FAARM) trial.

Her research interests include the links between malnutrition, intestinal infections, inflammation and microbiota composition, climate impacts on health, behaviour change communication, and programme evaluation.
