I am a PhD student in climate physics working on monsoon systems under changing conditions and the potential abruptness of these changes with Prof. Dr. Anders Levermann and Dr. Jacob Schewe. For this purpose, I work with a Monsoon Planet configuration of an atmosphere model (GFDL-AM2) that by its idealization allows to access elementary monsoon dynamics. Besides, I analyze how monsoon systems (Indian Monsoon, East Asian Monsoon) react to climate change using the latest generation of climate models (CMIP6). I am also interested in the socioeconomic impact of these projected changes in monsoon characteristics.
