Dr. Elmar Kriegler is working on the
project "What poor information can tell: Analysis of climate policies
under large uncertainty about climate change" (WIT). The work is supported by a Marie-Curie Outgoing
International Fellowship of the European Union. The fellowship included a 2-year stay at the Department of Engineering & Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon
University, Pittsburgh, USA. Dr. Kriegler has returned to PIK in June 2008. Elmar Kriegler received a diploma (MS equivalent) degree in physics from the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, Germany, in 1998, and a PhD degree in physics from the University of Potsdam, Germany, in 2005. He has worked extensively on the integrated assessment of climate change with coupled climate-economy models. |
