Dr. Renato Rodrigues is a Brazilian economist with post-graduation in economics and electrical engineering. His activities within research domain 3 include the analysis of innovation pathways, strategies and policies for low-carbon transition in Europe and the World. He is contributing in the development of the large-scale energy-environment-economic REMIND model, improving the electricity supply and demand representation, increasing the model spatial detail and improving its solution algorithm. His main professional expertise areas are in regulation and energy economics, environment and climate change, decision support systems in the energy sector and operations research support tools.
