I am a quantitative modeler in the Land Use Transition Lab (LUTL), where I contribute to the maintenance and development of the MAgPIE model. My scientific background is in community ecology and ecological modelling. After my Ph.D. at Universität Potsdam, I also spent some time at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) in Leipzig developing an intercomparison of plant community assembly models.
In my work here in the LUTL, I focus on deepening MAgPIE's representations of the carbon and nitrogen cycles. My current activities center on integrating forest degradation into MAgPIE and improving our of representations of planetary boundary transgressions, particularly for nitrogen.
