The world is in perpetual crisis mode: the Corona crisis is far from over, a real socio-ecological transformation against the climate crisis still seems to be happening too slowly, and hatred and incitement continue to shape social discourse. Russia's renewed attack on Ukraine is now pushing these crises into the background for the time being, while at the same time once again highlighting the interconnectedness of all these crises.

Priorities in politics are shifting, be it the new investments in the German armed forces or the new focus on "energy production and security of supply," here, however, not only in the sense of sustainable development.

Philosopher Carolin Emcke, climate economist Ottmar Edenhofer and Geraldine de Bastion talk about war, crises and the path to a sustainable society and economy. What impact does the Ukraine conflict have on resource economics and on distributive justice? How do we act and live in this permanent state of crisis? How do we talk about it? How do we take action and who is responsible for what?
