As the leading think tank in the travel industry, the ITB Berlin Convention takes place from 8.-10. March 2022 and set focus on solutions in the areas of digitization, sustainability and resilience. The sessions will be streamed via the ITB website: https://www.itb.com/de/itb-kongress/
On Thursday 10 March, PIK Director Johan Rockström will give the opening keynote as part of the ITB Responsible Tourism Track: "Holding the 1.5°C Line - Towards a Sustainable Tourism Industry".
The goal of the ITB Responsible Tourism Track is to analyze sustainability more closely as the main driver of recovery, as an essential component for resilience and as an equal basis for regeneration. Supported by industry best practices, debates, critical panels and audience interaction, a bridge will be created between industry and academia. The latest findings on the subject of travel, tourism and responsible sustainability are conveyed. At the same time, it is about continuous improvements and changes in a crucial decade.
