"Climate ─ Our Changing World and Society"

To kick off the Humpis Monday Forum "Climate ─ Our Changing World and Society," Prof. Dr. Stefan Rahmstorf will speak about "The Most Important Facts and Figures on the Climate Crisis." Stefan Rahmstorf is a climate and ocean researcher, Professor of Physics of the Oceans at the University of Potsdam and works at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research.

The Humpis Monday Forum is an interdisciplinary lecture series that examines exciting and multi-layered topics from different perspectives. In addition to the communication of current research results by renowned speakers from German-speaking countries, the focus is also on the exchange and joint discussion of the lecture content.

Each semester, 8 events are offered on Monday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The 6th semester in spring 2022 will be dedicated to the topic "Climate": How is the climate evolving under human influence? What consequences of the climate crisis await us? And which answers can there be?

After the lecture, questions can be submitted in writing, which will be discussed in a moderated discussion.

The event will be held in accordance with current regulations for cultural events.
