I investigate the interface between climate change, inequality, and sustainable development. Much of my work revolves around representing the income distribution in climate-economy modelling. With this, I am trying to model the distributional consequences of climate damages and mitigation costs.

Research interests:

  • income distribution in integrated assessment modelling
  • interaction of climate impacts and inequality
  • climate change and sustainable development
  • spatially explicit income distribution

My background is in astrophysics: For my PhD at the University of Cambridge I studied the scattering of the cosmic microwave background in clusters of galaxies (the so-called Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect), using a mixture of observational data, theoretical calculations, and numerical simulations. For further information see my old homepage.
