Pascal Weigmann has been working as research scientist for the Energy Systems Group at PIK since August 2021. His work is focused on transformation pathways for Germany and Europe as well as climate risk management in the financial sector.

He studied Physics and Engineering Science at Georg-August-University Göttingen and TU Berlin and worked on projects researching the potential of Battery Electrical Multiple Units (BEMU) on non-electrified train tracks in Germany. For his Master's Thesis he developed a simulation tool to analyze power quality in distribution grids.
