Sara Minoli is a PostDoc researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), working in the Landuse group. She completed her doctoral research in 2020 at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU) and the PIK. She has been a member of the graduate school of Integrative Research Institute on Transformations of Human-Environment Systems (IRI THESys). Sara holds a Master degree in Agricultural Sciences from University of Milan, Italy.

Her research area is the study of agricultural systems in the context of climate change with a global-scale perspective. The methods used are process-based crop models (LPJmL) to simulate crop responses to biophysical drivers and rule-based approaches to simulate farmers’ adaptive agronomic management. She has conducted studies on climate change impacts on crop phenology and yields; adaptation potentials of adjusted cropping calendars (crops sowing dates and cultivars); crop model intercomparison (AgMIP). She recently started working on the simulation of fruit trees phenology and yields.
