I joined the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in September 2019 as a doctoral researcher, and I am currently working as a Junior Postdoctoral Researcher in the Land Use Transition Lab.
My research focuses on the global distribution of impacts (both short- and long-term) and adaptive capacity in the context of socio-economic and climate change. I am particularly interested in agricultural systems, where I explore ways to integrate these dynamics into integrated assessment models such as MAgPIE. In addition, I contribute to several collaborative projects, including LegumES, AgMIP, and ISIMIP, supporting ongoing model development and interdisciplinary research efforts.
During my PhD, I investigated the impacts of global change on land use and agricultural adaptation across multiple scales (local, regional, and global) using the MAgPIE framework.
I hold a PhD in Agricultural Sciences from Humboldt University of Berlin. I previously earned a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Colombia and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, where I worked on the optimal design and placement of microgrid systems.
