Max Bechthold

Following a master's thesis in physics with the title "Dynamics of Behavioural Contagion in a Stylised Social-Ecological Multilayer Network Model of Social Norms and Groups" under the supervision of Jonathan Donges, Max has been working at PIK since November 2023 as a research assistant in the ERA future lab and the copan collaboration. From April on he works as project researcher in the context of a modeling framework for World-Earth system resilience.

His research interests include: complex systems, non-linear dynamics, multilayer networks, agent based models, social-ecological systems, feedback loops, social norms, social groups and social tipping, (world-) earth system resilience and tipping.
