Manon Glockmann is a doctoral researcher at the Universität Potsdam. At PIK, she works on the project “IMPETUS - Climate Change Impacts on Migration and Urbanization” that addresses the extent to which migration and urbanization are affected by climate change. Her focus is on the urbanization part, where she analyses the growth of the global urban land cover.
Manon Glockmann holds a Master's degree in Urban Ecosystem Sciences from the Technische Universität Berlin and wrote her Master thesis about the thermal comfort of passengers inside the Berlin subway system. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Geographical Sciences at Freie Universität Berlin, where her thesis dealt with the detection of green roofs using remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS).
