Cronauer

Carla Cronauer is a project manager in the Adaptation in Agricultural Systems Working Group and is primarily involved with the AGRICA project, which is conducting comprehensive climate risk assessments for selected countries in sub-Saharan Africa and identifying adaptation strategies tailored to local conditions and preferences. She mainly works on the topic of gender and coordinates the dissemination of the results of the studies. As she is very interested in science communication and the exchange of scientific findings at eye level with the public, Carla Cronauer is intensively involved in the media and communication activities of the working group and supervises their implementation.

Carla Cronauer completed her undergraduate degree in Geography and Sociology. During her geography studies, she was fascinated by the topics of food security and land use, so she studied engineering ecology with a focus on sustainable agricultural systems in her master's degree and conducted research on arable farmers' preferences for climate change adaptation strategies in Germany as part of her master's thesis.
