Paula is part of the working group on Adaptation in Agricultural Systems, where she supports the Green Vision Central Asia project and the Agrica project as a PhD student. She analyses changing climate conditions in the project regions working with climate model data and investigating the suitability of climate projections for agricultural modelling. Paula develops a statistical yield model further, aiming at forecasting wheat and cotton yields in Central Asia. A focus of the research is to provide subsequent information to stakeholders and decision makers.
Paula holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Leipzig as well as a MSc in Environmental Science from the University of Copenhagen and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. Besides working at PIK, Paula is in training to become a process moderator.
