Julian is a development economist. He is a guest researcher at PIK´s Research Department II (Climate Resilience)Julian completed a MSc in Economics from Freie University Berlin and a MA in Art and Politics from Goldsmiths College, London. Between 2020 and 2023 he conducted his doctoral research in the ADAPT project at RD2. Since October 2023 Julian is a researcher in the Economic Policy Lab "Climate Change, Development, and Migration" at RWI - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research. His research interests include socio-economic consequences of climate change as well as climate adaptation strategies on the household and community level.
