In late August 2023, the Ice dynamics group went on a 5-day retreat in the Alps, granted by the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Stiftung. The productive time at Hanauer Hütte involved, amongst others, intensive exchange of knowledge, discussions of future research foci, valuable reflections on how to optimize collaboration within the group and many other topics for which there is often too little time left in the daily scientific routine.
