Dr. Bijan Fallah gave a talk on climate change in Central Asia during the third Tashkent Water Security Lectures (TWSL).

The third Tashkent Water Security Lectures (TWSL) took place on 10th December in an online format.

Dr. Bijan Fallah, who is a climate researcher in Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and part of the Green Central Asia (GCA) team, presented his talk on “Climate Change in Central Asia”. The insightful material covered climate trends and extremes over Central Asia, including floods risk and future perspectives on it. Dr. Bijan Fallah also gave an overview of different types of climate models and their development through the years. The close up of the talk was mainly oriented on the usefulness of climate models and how they can assist in scientific research. Better climate understanding under different pathways gives us an opportunity for taking timely actions and providing effective recommendations for decision-makers.
