The EAAE seminar organises regular seminars to offer a platform for the exchange of ideas and options of pricing greenhouse gas emissions and other climate mitigation policies in the agricultural sector of the EU. The seminar on "Greenhouse gas emissions in the EU agriculture and food sector - Potential and limits of climate mitigation policies and pricing instruments" co-organised by PIK, Humboldt University Berlin, Thünen Institute and the EAAE offered a range of analyses covering the potential mitigation strategies and governance instruments.

In his key-note speech on "The key role of agriculture and land use change for ambitious climate change mitigation: lessons from global Integrated Assessment Modelling", Prof. Dr. Hermann Lotze-Campen explained what can be learned from integrated assessment models and how they can contribute to climate mitigation strategies.
