Emilie Rosenlund Soysal joined the Public Economics and Climate Finance research group as a doctoral researcher in September 2017. Under the scope of the FINFAIL project, her research focuses on the effect of capital market failures on investments in climate friendly technologies.

Emilie received her master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Lund University in 2015. During her studies, she specialized in financial engineering and mathematical modelling. Prior to working at PIK, she was a research assistant at the Technical University of Denmark, where she participated in international projects on energy economics and policies for renewable energy. She has also worked with financial risk management and responsible investment.

Emilie's current research focuses on the role of capital market failures for the transition to a low carbon economy. She is particularly interested in the following topics:

- The design of low-carbon policies under the existence of financial market frictions

- Short-termism and portfolio choice

- Energy sector investment and regulation
