Simón Moreno is a researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). He works at the Carbon Management Team in the energy systems group of Research Department 3 (Transformation Pathways).
Simón studied chemical engineering in Santiago de Chile, where he also worked at the Energy Center of the University of Chile. His doctoral research took place at the University of Stuttgart, where he focused on multi-vector water and energy systems planning.
Simón joined PIK in September 2021 to focus on the transformation of the industry.
