In her PhD research Lisa analyses the effects of different land tenure settings on farmers' ability to adapt to climate change in sub-Saharan Africa, drawing on econometric methods applied to household panel data and methods for qualitative data analysis. Her PhD is funded by the German National Academic Foundation.

She is part of the working group on Adaptation in Agricultural Systems, where she supports with the coordination of the Agrica project and conducts research on adaptation strategies in the agricultural sector in sub-Saharan Africa.

Lisa studied International Relations at TU Dresden and the University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis (BA) and holds a MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to joining PIK she worked as a consultant on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
