Robin Hasse is a member of the Energy Systems research group in the department Transformation Pathways. As a doctoral researcher, he analyses transition pathways in the buildings sector. He investigates potential contributions of the buildings sector to climate change mitigation from a full system perspective.

Before joining PIK, Robin studied Sustainable Systems Engineering at the University of Freiburg and graduated with a master. He holds a Bachelor of Energy Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. In his studies, he focused on energy systems modelling and sustainability assessment.
