Description of input files

Site depending data files

Site and soil parameter file

recommended extension: .sop

The data will be imported line by line, the following description starting with ! serves only the purpose for a better understanding of the file construction.
First mandatory line starts with N (New version) followed by first section, wich describe site conditions.
After a blank line, the information of soil layers are listed line by line.
After the layer based data no further data from this file are being imported. All other potentially existing lines only serve as information.

The number, denoted in nlay , has to agree with the number of layers for which data are being imported.

Section Variable Unit Description
Site description Only the first value will be read. All characters after this value are optional and for information only.
  Longitude decimal format Longitude
  Latitude decimal format Latitude
nlay - Number of soil layers; for information in brackets: depth [cm]
nroot - Number of root layers; for information in brackets: depth [cm]
Ground water level cm Ground water depth [cm]
evaporation depth cm Depth of soil evaporation
Mineralization constant of humus in litter layer d-1 Mineralization constant of humus in litter layer per day
Mineralization constant of humus in mineral soil d-1 Mineralization constant of humus in mineral soil per day
Nitrification constant d-1 Nitrification constant per day
