Providing information on the water demand of big power plants in the short and long-run, taking into account changes in the power plant stock, the influences of air humidity and temperature on the use of water and the dependence between costs and water availability.

Model interfaces to (input data): REGE

Model interfaces to (output data): WBalMo

Peculiarities: power plant and location specific assessment of the use for water in the short- and long term.

Time frames: Validation: 2000-2004

Projection: 2030

Potential users and application areas: Consultants, researchers and universities which are interested in the effects of climate change on fossil power plants.
