Impact details: urban water supply change

impact chain for hydrological drought (click any node to view details):
Due to the process of urbanisation more and more people globally live in cities. By the fact that climate change is likely to lead to water stock reduction by increased evaporation and surface and subsurface water discharge, serious water shortages could arise. Increasing future water demand, specifically in rapidly expanding cities, in connection with water shortage through meteorological and hydrological droughts induce a decrease in urban water supply.
