This repository accompanies the paper "Complex-Phase, Data-Driven Identification of Grid-Forming Inverter Dynamics." It contains all relevant software and data, including the identified system matrices, test case parameters, and measured time series.

Below, you can find further details on the probing signals:

For the dVOC-based inverter, the probing signals were applied as follows:

  1. Voltage steps: ±2\% of the nominal voltage, once per second.
  2.  Frequency steps: ±0.05 Hz around 50 Hz, once per second.
  3. Combined steps: ±0.015 Hz in frequency and ±0.001\% in voltage, once per second.

Training duration: 20 seconds per time series.

For the droop-based inverter, the applied probing signals were:

  1. Voltage steps: Eight steps in the range of ±0.5 V around 180 V, with 5-second pauses, totaling ~40 seconds.
  2. Frequency steps: Eight steps in the range of ±4 mHz around 50 Hz, with 5-second pauses, totaling ~40 seconds.
  3. Combined steps: ±4 mHz in frequency and ±0.05 V in voltage, changing every second for 60 seconds.
