Jupyter notebooks on the cluster

A new guide for running remote Jupyter notebooks (Python, R and Julia) on the cluster has been added to the Gitlab "cluster-examples" repository.

It is possible to run Jupyter notebooks in Python, R and Julia on a cluster compute node and use a browser on your own PC or laptop to interact with them. This is enabled by two SSH tunnels originating from the compute node and your laptop, which meet in the middle, on a cluster login node. Most of the heavy lifting is handled by a SLURM submission script.

This setup has been tested with Python 3, R 3.5.1 and Julia 1.0.0 notebooks.
